Background

šŸ» Welcome to the Dobwalls Beer Festival! šŸ»

A celebration of real ale, craft cider, and Cornish community spirit—all while raising vital funds for the Cornwall Air Ambulance.

Born in August 2009, our festival has been growing year by year, proudly championing local brewers and bringing people together for a good time and a great cause. By 2019, we were raising our glasses to ten unforgettable years—and what a milestone it was!

Then came the challenges no one expected. The pandemic in 2020 and 2021 forced us to hit pause, despite our best efforts to keep the taps flowing. But our spirit never wavered—and neither did yours.

Fast forward to 2024, and we raised a glass for our 13th festival! While Friday gave us sunshine and smiles, Saturday tried to rain on our parade—but true to form, the Dobwalls crowd showed up in style, umbrellas and all. The atmosphere? Electric. The outcome? Incredible.

Thanks to your unwavering support, we raised another Ā£4,000—bringing our total donations to a staggering Ā£28,000 for the Cornwall Air Ambulance. Just Ā£2,000 to go until we hit that magical Ā£30,000 milestone!

With your help, we know 2025 will be the year we smash it.

We’re shaking things up with a brand new venue: the spacious Dobwalls Football Club grounds. With more room to roam, we’re transforming the festival into a full-on family weekend! Expect fun-filled activities for kids, while the grown-ups kick back with a refreshing drink (alcoholic or not—we don’t judge!) and soak up the sounds of some amazing live bands.

Thanks to our new, larger location, this year’s music will be pumping from a curtain-side trailer stage—giving you more space to dance, chill, and truly feel the festival vibes.

šŸ» Drinks? We’ve got you covered. Around 12 ales and 6 ciders will be on tap, alongside the ever-popular BBQ and other tasty food options (currently being finalised).

šŸŽ¶ Live music all day, both Friday and Saturday.(See the list below when confirmed)
šŸŽˆ Something for everyone—from toddlers to toe-tappers.

Join us for a weekend of good tunes, great company, and an even greater cause. See you there!

Cornwall Air Ambulance

To support and fundraise to keep Cornwall Air Ambulance flying, so that it can continue to provide an emergency helicopter service to anyone in Cornwall, free at the point of need, and continue to save lives.  Dobwalls Beer Festival has been doing this for the 12 years it has been running.  In this time we have raised thousands of pounds for this wonderful charity.  Of course, this is only possible with your help!  There are two ways you can assist us and Cornwall Air Ambulance and that is to Sponsor the event or to come along and support the event by partaking in a few ales or ciders.

Little Waves
LITTLE WAVES

Little Waves are an exciting acoustic duo with a collated set of songs from the decades. Ben and Mark have both been in international touring bands and have had the pleasure of sharing some of the worlds most prestigious stages with Artists such as Alice Cooper, Motley Crüe, Kiss, Protest the Hero, Don Broco and Lower than Atlantis to name but a few.

Now in this more laid back format, they bring a rootsy vibe to an eclectic collection of songs from the 50’s right up until 2019. Available for Weddings, Corporate events and private hire, they are happy to travel anywhere and hope to send little waves through the country and beyond...
Dark Station
DARK STATION
7pm - 9pm
Dark Station is a 3 (or sometimes 2) piece band made up of old school chums Graham and Tamsyn, and ex-Londer Kevin.

Following a chance meeting after not seeing each for 30 years, Graham and Tamsyn discovered a mutual love of cider, swearing and acoustic quirky jazz/punk. Forming a band seemed like a good idea at the time.

Kev saw them performing as a duo and decided it was a party he wanted to crash. From that moment on it’s been a series of congas, sandals, checked shirts, cow bell solos and general good times all the way.

She has supported the likes of Wildwood Kin and Haunt The Woods at Plymouth Pavilions, and also recorded her debut demo EP ā€œI’m Not like Youā€ at Abbey Road Studios last November, donating some of the CD proceeds to Livewire Youth Music Project. Having only been performing for the past couple of years, Charlie has quickly become an established solo artist on the Southwest Circuit. Charlie played over 50 gigs over the course of last year including multiple festivals, such as Boardmasters, Looe Saves The Day and BBC Introducing stages at the Biggest Weekend Fringe event at Exeter Phoenix. Charlie absolutely loves the playing and supporting the local beer festivals, for charity and we are proud to have her back at Dobwalls Beer Festival again this year, having played here last year as well as the Darite Beer Festival and Sterts Beer Festival too!
